Did you know that the fire hose and ladders that we use can go bad? Fire hose is specially designed to hold high pressures of water and resist punctures/tears/cuts all while being exposed to high heat. However, as the hose ages these design features can wear out potentially creating water supply issues threatening the safety of our crews and limiting the ability to extinguish fire.

Our complement of ladders are also designed to be rugged yet can fail. This also could place our cews in risk as well as preventing us to operate effectively.

To ensure safe operations we have a third party annually test this equipment. Damaged equipment is either fixed or replaced.
