In the summer of 2024, our Fire Police stumbled across a used vehicle for sale that met all of their needs. A committee had already been established to look into replacing our aging Traffic unit. The Committee and Fire Company acted fast, purchasing the used vehicle at an incredible savings compared to a new vehicle.

The new Traffic 16, has spent the last few months getting lighting and radios installed by Hammel Installs, LLC (go to that page to see a video of the truck with warning lights activated) and graphics from Horst Signs.

Over the next few weeks, our members will be transferring equipment to the vehicle and getting all of our drivers trained. Keep an eye out for this vehicle (and our Fire Police) on a roadway near you.

The new Traffic 16 is a 2012 Ford F450 which previously served as a support vehicle for the Civil Support Team which is part of the United States Army.
